About the North Dakota motorcycle test

Applicants without a valid North Dakota Class A, B, C or D license must pass the Class D knowledge test and hold a Class D permit before taking the Class M knowledge test. NDDOT does not publish the item count or pass mark for the Class M test, so the figures shown are listed as unconfirmed. Riders aged 14 or 15 must also be enrolled in or have completed an approved motorcycle safety course.
